Which cold email is most likely to get a response?

Cold email to a dentist. Lead generation.

Matt’s Email:

“Hey Amanda - I’d like to discuss your lead generation efforts. We’re helping other dentists generate leads straight from social networks and import them directly into your CRM (adding phone numbers and email addresses). I wanted to learn how you currently handle lead generation and show you what we’re working on. Are you available for a quick call tomorrow afternoon?”

Mandy’s Email:

“Hey Amanda - Are you booked solid next month for Juvéderm XC? I would like to send you potential candidates. Pay only when you get paid.”

A or B?

B right?

Here’s why:

  1. Amanda doesn’t want leads. She wants more Juvederm XC clients. Why? Juvederm has a high-profit margin. Clients keep coming back every single month.
  2. Matt is doing lead gen. Lead gen is risky. The ads turn on. You see 1k being deducted every week from you bank account. You don’t see leads. After 5 weeks, you see 5 leads. None of them convert. Meanwhile, Mandy de-risks the offer. She gets paid only when Amanda gets paid.
